Starting from June 7 to July 24 of this year (year 102), exhibition of 11 works of precious craft and technology art is on display at the gallery on the first floor of the Cultural Affairs Department. We invite folks to visit and experience the life of brilliant sparks and the beauty of these art.
County Government invited National Taiwan Craft Research and Development Center to show case "Craft ‧ Technology Craft Science" in Yunlin County to convey the idea of transformation of craft and technology into one masterpiece. People now has a chance to experience the charm of a world-class exhibition and the beauty of craftsmanships.
The Deputy Director Yang Xian Fei of the Cultural Affair Department said that modern life is full of technology. Craftsmanship has combined with the modern technology and they further revolutionizes through various design techniques to open up a wealth of appearance.
Xu Geng Xiu from the National Taiwan Craft Research and Development Center explains the idea of this exhibition from one of the works, "Rococo - scrap". It took parts from Wolf 125 (a small well-known motorcycle in Taiwan) such as its tires, gears, shock absorbers, and fuel tank and combined with 140 rear-view mirrors; technology wastes such as these obsolete parts suddenly becomes an ornate mirror. Beside the material used, all you need to create a such wonderful art is going forward with your extraordinary ideas!
