Yunlin County Games Opening Ceremony was held in Dounan Stadium at 7pm of Sept. 27. Hosted by County Magistrate, Chih-Feng Sue, every performer put on their fancy and funny costume to celebrate the grant opening. The firework show in the opening ceremony ignited the passion inside every audience.
Chih-Feng Sue, gave a speech at the opening, she indicated that the main theme of this years County Games is Good Luck, Agriculture Capital. Different from most of the Sports Games opening ceremony, this year they used agriculture elements, such us four seasons, in the opening ceremony. Combined with dancing, music, magic and traditional performance this event tent to show the audience Yunlin citizens diligent and dedicated spirit.
The county magistrate also indicated that this years County Games opening ceremony has more than 10 schools and 3,000 performers which breaks the record of Taiwan sport history in scale. Therere more than 2,000 players will participate in the games.
Xiaowen Qiu, the director of education department said that 2013 Agri Expo is the most important event in Yunlin this year. All the schools and performance group had started the preparation for this opening before summer. He also thanked the parents who supported their children to participate in the performance.
