International mouth painting artist You Chen Lin from Yunlin has lost both limbs, but faced his challenge, refused to give up, and eventually made his debut in the art world. According to Lin at the gallery show, “Everybody is meant for something. There are endless possibilities. Change yourself; you change the world. “
“Losing both hands is certainly inconvenient in life, but I never think about losing my will and hope, instead I believe I am born with a gift, which I need to utilize. “ Lin said. Along the way he has been supported and encouraged by people, which eventually gave him the opportunity to make his way to artistic success.
Lin encourages others with an agricultural metaphor: “Sometimes life is moving backward, yet not receding, and steadfastly propelling forward.” He indicates, “Staying alive is the most important. All other problems can be solved. Sometimes, Taking a step back, calming down, and treating everyday as the last day can lead to success.
Yunlin secretary Rui Tang Lin says that Lin has been promoting the public welfare activity, “Loving is giving.” If a person donates 5 receipts from September to October, year 102, he or she can receive a limited 103 art calendar, and all the collected receipts will be distributed to county fair and wellness clubs.
For the minority concern, Revenue Service Bureau of Yulin County held international mouth artist Lin’s art show on November 16th. Yunlin secretary Rui Tang, home care, wellness center, Genesis Social Welfare Foundation, and other supporters came to amaze Lin’s spectacular artworks.
Lin pays attention to the local minorities and hopes to attract more supporters to pay forward for the society. In the mean time, Lin is starting his personal show on the second floor of Revenue Service Bureau, Yunlin County from November 15th in 102, and looking forward to see more audience.
