Mosquitoes are transformed to butterflies! A cultural center in Pingting village, Linnei had long been abandoned, until recently the county government utilized the lottery subsidy to build Yunlin Butterfly Story Museum. With the help of Chung Kong Elementary School and Penting district community, the new butterfly inhabitant is now fully established in essence of educating butterfly species and the ecology protection to the public.
Opened on the 28th this month, the Butterfly Story Museum was presented by government officials Ding Yen-Zhe, Liu Jian-Guo, Qiu Shi-Wen, the purple dotted butterfly reservation director Zeng, Pingting community developer Lin, and Cheng Gong Elementary School principle Kuo, and others. Building a better ecological environment through communal participation, development, and local interests is the primary goal of the butterfly museum.
The Opening of the Museum
Social Affairs director Ding Yen-Zhe indicated, now that the museum is set, employees are striving to protect the butterfly ecology, creating a green environment, and building a nature discovery and insects exploration for the elementary and junior high youths. At the museum, the importance of having science and biology courses can bond family relationship and provide education opportunity.
Cheng Gong Elementary School principle Kuo said, on campus we have largely planted Eupatorium, a purple dotted butterflys favorite flowering plant. A great amount of purple dotted butterflies thus reside and breed their offspring here. Once, we witnessed nearly thousands of them flied above the plants. It was wonderful to see results like this.

More shows, DIYs, and performances are included in the activities as well as the museum educational displays and video instructions, for visitors to acquaint and learn from butterflies.
