Income Tax on Joint Development Property

Legal license is held responsible to the landowner in terms of joint development. The owner will also be held responsible to apply for income tax.

According to the Yunlin Tax Bureau, Joint Development agreement became popular nowadays that both parties, the landowner and the builder/developer, have agreed to construct new buildings on his/her land as a joint venture project. In fact, the right of whom should he/she will be the owner of the land, should apply within 30 days before the project complete. More to whom should earn the legal license of the right to use the land should apply the income tax within 60 days.

The Tax Bureau kindly reminded the applicants should apply immediately when agreed on joint development. Failure to do so should be fined up to three times of its original fees.
