A reminder to report missing foreign labors

Yunlin County Government News Reference 104.9.17 Company: Labor

To help employers of foreign labor retrieve the most updated information of missing persons (for more than 72 hours), the County Executive Li has assigned the Labor Affairs Department to post relevant information and forms via the Labor Affairs website. This is aiming to inform the employers the latest provisions so that they can avoid breaking it.

The Labor Department said that whenever a foreign worker lost contact for more than three consecutive days, the employer should report to the local authority, immigration agencies, and the police department, according to the Employment Services Act. The employer should also report to the Labor Affairs Department via its online portal “Missing Foreign workers Reporting System” for further assistance.

The Labor Department reminds the employers that failing to comply with the provisions will result in a fine of no less than NTD 60,000 and no more than NTD 300,000.
