Founded for only two years, Tuku Township Maguang Elementary School Dodge Ball Team recently won the first place in the 104th year Zhongzheng Cup Group A Girl’s match. The whole school was deeply honored and truly proud. Magistrate Li, accompanied by Chief Qiu of Education Department, Chair Wang, Co-chair Ho and several township representatives, visited the school in the morning of the 7th to award players for their excellent performance. Team members have expressed their gratitude with personal thank cards in return. Magistrate Li had stayed to see the training in action at the school gymnasium. The player’s attack and defense skills were impeccable.
Magistrate Li said it is truly remarkable how Maguang Elementary School Dodge Ball Team was able to dominate in the national game within only 2 years of its establishment, and thank to support from all. Li has high hopes for the extraordinary players to continue bringing pride to the county.
Maguang Elementary School Principal Liao Yucheng said, Maguang Elementary School Girl’s Dodge Ball Team was established in December 102th year when the school aimed to help students better define themselves and find a place to shine. They practiced not only during noontime and mornings, but also often during weekends and holidays. The school also takes care of player’s academic works and morality by providing after-class sessions making sure that they succeed in both fields.
