Press conference promoting the upcoming 2017 Taipei Food Exhibition! Deputy Magistrate Ding demonstrates his culinary skills using Yunlin agricultural products!

The 2017 Taiwan International Food Exhibition commences from June 21st - 24th at the Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center. This year marks the 10th year Yunlin participates at the exhibition. This morning (June 16th) at 10:30am, the county will be holding a press conference whereby Deputy Magistrate Ding Yanzhe will prepare a morning cuisine with the assistance of Chef A Yi, Yunlin’s top-grade chef, to share with participants. Celebrity entertainer, Shu Zichen (Nikita Shu), will be joining the cooking demonstration using fresh and healthy food products from Yunlin to cook a popular Yunlin cuisine, the sweet and sour pork, in celebration for the 10-year anniversary.

Since 2008, Yunlin has participated in the Taipei Food Exhibition every year. This year marks the 10th year at which Yunlin has presented a different product to the expo every year to showcase the wide range of fresh and healthy agricultural products in Yunlin. This year, Yunlin invited Miss Shu Zichen (Nikita Shu) as a presenter for the Yunlin product at the exhibition in hopes that the exhibition can reach the younger people and interest them.

Nikita Shu mentioned that the impression most people have of Yunlin food products is usually soy sauce. In fact, there are many hidden gems that can be found in Yunlin such as sweet potatoes, okra, fruit vinegar, coffee, etc. The best chance to have a taste of all of this is at the Taipei Food Exhibition.

Yunlin’s top-grade chef, Su Jiayi (Chef A Yi), is the man behind all the cuisines presented at the Yunlin Museum of Culinary Arts. At the press conference prior to the exhibition, Chef A Yi will be showcasing a series of cuisines from the “Love Yunlin, Safe Yunlin” menu, which all use high quality agricultural products from Yunlin. At the Taipei Food Exhibition, the Yunlin Museum of Culinary Arts will be presenting their high-quality products to demonstrate Yunlin’s ingredients and cuisines internationally.

Taipei Food Exhibition will be run on June 21st – 24th. Yunlin Museum of Culinary Arts will be located at booth number K116 at the Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center. Every day there will be plenty of cuisines to taste at these booths as well as some fun activities for a chance to win prizes.
