The EPA forecasts that by 15th December, the northern region has been affected by the foreign contaminants entrained by the cold, air pollution index is at average level across Taiwan, based on PM2.5. The Southwest Region will be influenced by the foreign contaminants since 15th night, peaked on the 16th and expected to continue until the morning of 17th.
The EPA will continue to monitor the impact of this wave of cold air to the air quality, and react accordingly.
