Individuals or chiefs of enterprise with unpaid taxes are due for payment, even in the case where travel restriction has been lifted passing the 5-year expiration. Delayed payment will be sent to legal execution department and enforced.
The Yunlin County Tax Department said that although the travel restriction may have been lifted passing the 5-year expiration for individuals or chief of enterprises, it has no impact on whether or not the taxes is pardoned. The tax will not be written off only after passing the 5-year collection period and 10-year execution period. It has nothing to do with suspension of travel restriction.
The Tax Department reminds the taxpayer to abide to the law and pay on time upon receiving the tax bill, in order to protect the taxpayer’s interests.
