The farmhouse may only be used for residential and approved hostel purposes. Any violations on land use will be punished according to the regional planning and relevant laws. In addition, any preferential benefits of tax on agricultural land, such as land value-added tax, inheritance tax or gift tax, will be removed.
The Land Administration Department of the County Government declares that people always think farmhouse is like a manor villa with vast courtyard, but in fact, building a farmhouse will not turn the agricultural land into construction land. Except for the farmhouse, the agricultural land should remain in actual agricultural use. It is not compliant with the regulations to build rockery, garden landscape, playground, swimming pool or to lay cement and other non-agricultural use on agricultural land.
We call upon the people to protect agricultural production environment together in order to ensure sustainable development of agriculture and sustainable use of agricultural land, and to establish correct concept of building own-use farmhouses.
