According to the statistics of the Environmental Protection Agency, the monitoring concentration of suspended particulates (PM2.5) in Yunlin County from January to July was 28.3 μg/m3, which was 5.3 μg/m3 lower than that of 33.6 μg/m3 in the same period of 2017(106年), and the improvement rate was 16%. It has the best improvement rate in the county of the western half of Taiwan. This ranking is the second only to Hualien County in the east. According to monitoring data, it is enough to prove that air quality in Yunlin County has been improved year by year and has been effective. The EPA stated that it will continue to work tirelessly and cooperate with the central government to promote various pollution control strategies so that Yunlin County’s air quality will continue to increase.
