As upcoming agriculture expo on Dec.25, all the construction within agriculture expo main area are expected to be finished by the Nov.15 and go on trail. Yunlin County Government estimate 500,000 visitors will visit agriculture expo which will approximately brings more than 230 millions profits. The net profits will be around 187.6 millions, 4 times than the construction expanse of all agriculture expo pavilions. This will make agriculture expo the most profitable government investment project in Yunlin history.
Starting from environmental education, agriculture expo 2013, expecting Yunlin to be more sustainable, all the constructions are going on well as expected. Chih-Feng Su, County Magistrate, supervised the construction yard today (Oct. 7). "All the pavilions construction will finish at the time we expected, we can see the appearance of the pavilions now" says Dong-song Chen, director of planning department.
Dong-song also indicated that the County Government uses least money to gain most profit in this project. The Government and civic companies spend 45.8 millions and estimated operational incomes will be around 112.1 millions. Having other indirect incomes, including housing, dining, retailing, transportation, entertainment, logistic, clinic and education, that agriculture expo brings counted the total incomes will reach 233.4 millions, subtract the total expenses, the net profit will be about 187.6 millions.
The profit estimation above was based on reports from Tourism Bureau in 2011 and Budgeting Department, Executive Yuan in 2011. With the estimation of 500,000 visitors, the actual profit should be more than estimated above.
Zhong-che Xu, Director of Civic Affairs Department indicates that County Government have a strong relationship with Yunlinese association in Taiwan, he represent County Government attend may association annual events and promote agriculture expo, so that, they can understand the purpose of holding the event. He also invited everyone to come to visit agriculture expo during Chinese new year as they will come back to Yunlin for the new year. He is expecting agriculture expo will have more than 700,000 visitors.
