This year, the 8 years old National Agriculture Machinery & Materials Exhibition (NAMME) will be held at Huwei High-speed Railway special district. As the most important Agriculture Machinery Exhibition, NAMME will not only have exhibition but also to convey the concept of Technology Agriculture and Safety Agriculture to citizens. This year, NAMME invited companies from all over the world to exhibit and sell variety types of new agriculture machinery, try to promote themselves to a international level.
Yunlin County Government held the press conference of NAMME in the morning of Oct. 17. The different types of agriculture machinery filled up the exhibition area. The remote control weed mower from Czech Republic draws everybodys attention, it can operate on 30 degree inclination, with its automatic characteristic it can save farmers lots of time while ensure their safety, the amount of work it can accomplish equals to 25 farmers.
Yong-yu Xu, Deputy Director-general of Agriculture Department of Yunlin County Government indicates that the NAMME will last 3 days starts from Oct. 19 at Huwei high-speed railway special district. NAMME 2012 made 70 millions sales in 3 days and drew people from all over the world including Thailand, Cambodia, Myanmar, Philippine and Malaysia. Yunlin has been the center of South-eastern Asia of agriculture machinery and materials exhibiting and trading. The government expect there will be more than 100,000 visitors and a hundred millions sales.
He also said that the county government also provide grant-in-aid for farmers buying agriculture machinery. From 2008 till now, they have spent 160 millions to use technology as a driving force to make agriculture more safe and more refined. He also expected the modern way of farming can attract more youth coming back to their hometown and make a living with farming. They expecting more advanced farming techniques can help implementing New Agriculture Revolution and make Yunlin Agriculture Capital of Taiwan.
Fu-yong Lin,Board Director of Agriculture Machinery Trading Association, Taiwan Region said that the NAMME held by Yunlin had became a world famous exhibition, this year therere 124 agriculture machinery exhibitors and 40 materials exhibitors and one of them is even from India. Taiwan agriculture machinery manufacturer also brings their new machine, including backward camera system, sensor and automatic control, GPS and GIS technology to push Taiwan machinery into international business.
Director of Agriculture Department of Yunlin County said that NAMME invite exhibitors majors in bio-technology and environmental friendly agromedicine and fertilizer. Other from these, theyre also selling high quality farm produce.
