From now on, county government starts to communicate with Formosa Plastics CO.
In the “open, sincere, response” principle, for the past years everyone contacts with
Formosa Plastics CO. only in fight or trade. The vice magistrate is the representative,
nominated by the magistrate, of the County Government, taking charge in convening
meetings with Formosa Plastics CO. every three months, in turns with Formosa
Plastics CO.
The magistrate claimed that Formosa Plastics CO. is a world-class cooperation but
it also a cooperation in Yunlin, so it shall take its’ responsibility to the surrounded
environment and resident’s feeling. With the elements above, the Formosa Plastics
CO. and Yunlin County can achieve the goal that Yunlin County and Sixth Naphtha
Crackers living in “harmony, cooperation, prosperity”
The magistrate emphasized the meetings that hold every three months will every
director in departments in Yunlin County Government, dealing with any problem
such as institutionalizing Sixth Naphtha Crackers feeding back to local, helping
enterprise solving problem, avoiding enterprise tiring in dealing with cope , blocking
black-box operation, answering resident’s doubt in open and responsible basis.
The magistrate’s opinion was replied with “full support” by the deputy general
manager of Formosa Plastics CO. The deputy general manager said the Sixth
Naphtha Crackers brings the boost in local real estate. On the other hand, the
related environmental improvement is in progress by Formosa Plastics CO. which
puts effort on being the model of Taiwanese cooperation.
