Suspect Huang demanded to make a deposit and were let in by a security guard through the side entrance of the bank on the 17th of April at 17:22pm when the bank was closing. When suspect Huang were asked to fill in numbers for deposit, suspect quickly threatened the banker for cash with his guns. A 1.44 million NT were robbed before he ran off with motorcycles.
Huwei branch then formed a specialist team coded 0417 in which focus on the criminal action. Additionally, the team reported to all regions of police stations which include Taichung branch, Tainan branch, and Yunlin branch. The team further assisted to investigate the possible escaping path and to seal those passages. Once suspect Huang discovered that he had no further ways to run, he turned himself in at 2am on the 28th of April with his personal attorney. However, the police are continuously searching for his guns and other possible suspects who assisted his escape.
