In order to thank the officers and the men of the army for assisting constructions, disaster prevention and rescue, and maintaining law and order, Yunlin County Government will be hosting an appreciation event on the 27th of September, a few days before the Autumn Festival. On behalf of Magistrate Li Jinyong, Representative Lan Wenxin hosted the event titled “Yunlin Autumn Appreciation Festival for the military” with Civil Affairs Director-general Cheng Yuanhong, Section Chief Jian Xinyue and other members of the government hall. The county wanted to show their appreciation to the following 9 local military groups for the work they have done; the Yunlin County Military Service Station Director Gao Zhiqiang, Executive Officer Lin Zhensheng, the 10th Commander group of the army service, 36 military chemists group, third Commander division of battalion 623 of the Ministry of Defense Air Defense, Army Artillery Units’ Test Center, Yunlin Military Police, and Yunlin County Reserve Commander Headquarters. The county invites the chief officers of the garrison units to participate in the military appreciation event in order to receive our gratitude for the national army’s security and assistance in disaster prevention and relief work.
Lan Wenxin pointed out that the national army officers are always stationed at their posts defending the country, especially during the Autumn Festival, for the country and the safety of the people. And also, they strengthen the garrison and maintain law and order, especially during disasters like typhoons, floods, earthquakes and other natural disasters. When disasters do happen the officers and men of the army are not afraid to confront the disaster and rescue work and help rebuild homes of local residents. The spirit and dedication from the officers can be felt by local residents therefore, before the Autumn Festival, locals want to express their gratitude to the men of the military.
