In order to improve the landscape and lighting of the trail system of the Caoling area and the old railway of Taiwan Sugar Corp. of Beigang , the county government proposed a proposal to the Tourism Bureau of the MOTC on the 10th of April 107 to obtain a special plan for the recreation of the 2018(107年) tourism base (Phase II). On June 11th, the Tourism Bureau approved the total project cost of NT$29.50 million.
