Located in the fertile plain along the Zhuoshui river, Lunbei Township is famous for its sweet melons and is an important dairy region in Taiwan. It is called Taiwanese “Land of milk and honey” with rich and diversified ethnic cultures. The area is where Zhaoan Hakka tribe inhabits. In terms of industry or culture, Lunbei Township deserves to be named the fertile township.
To improve the already high-quality agriculture in Lunbei, the County Government helped conduct brand marketing campaigns on melons, build dairy product certification system and actively increase farmers’ income. To promote cultural respect, the County Government conducted a survey on Zhaoan Hakka cultural resources, established Hakka Cultural Park and delicately transformed the old Lunbei Township Office into a Life learning center.
