2012 Yunlin County Hakka Aleurites Montana Blossom Festival

2012 Yunlin County Hakka Aleurites Montana Blossom Festival grand opens on April 14. Yunlin County Cultural Affairs Department held a press conference at Gukeng Township National Scout campsite. Featured in the grand opening are Hakka style lion dance led by Gukeng Township mayor Ms. Lin HuiRu and local nursery school children, invite visitor come and enjoy the festival.
 
Mr. Lin said, Yunlin Gukeng Township has the earliest Aleurites Montana blossom nationwide. The flower will reach full blossom approximately on the 14th of this month, and for three weeks if weather permitted. We welcome friends from all over the country together enjoy the scenery, coffee, and the show.
 
Other than the grand open show at the Gukeng Township National scout campsite, a series of activities were arranged for visitor’s pleasure. Activities include “Aleurites Montana inspired music performance, Hakka style lion dance, and local puppet artists’ performance. Other than the two activities inspired by local culture, Gukeng coffee tour which teaches knowledge experience and history about the local grown coffee and tree planting. In addition, Hakka culture tour brings back childhood memory and what the local children bond with their childhood experience. The Hakka language lessons were also available for those who are eager for more knowledge.
 
Mid-spring season is when Aleurites Montana full bloom. 2012 Yunlin County Hakka Aleurites Montana Blossom Festival started in two periods of April 14 to 15 and April 21 to 22 at the Gukeng National Scout campsite. Combine the famous Gukeng Cofee, flower sightseeing, coffee and Hakka culture tour, this festival provide enjoyable and cozy ambient that welcome everyone to visit.
