Magistrate Su presided over the opening ceremony of the William Violin - Cloud in the Classroom

With warm musical performances, the grand opening of William Violin - Cloud in the Classroom at the old police station in Douliou City was welcomed by County Magistrate Su Chih-fen; Director General of Cultural Department, Liu Quan Chi; Douliou City Mayor, Hsieh Shu-ya; and Legislator Lee Ying-yuan and Liu Jianguo and others.

County Magistrate Su points out that Yunlin County was a cultural desert as decent art performances are hard to be found in this county. Fortunately, this phenomenon is changing when many talents such as Lin Dianwei, a world-renowned master in violin making, settle down in this place; he even married someone from Yunlin County. During the opening ceremony, Magistrate Su encourages young talents to come back to Yunlin to open their own business as she said: “as long as you have a creative plan, the county government is willing to provide any necessary resources to help you establish your own future here. And in return, we hope this relationship will bring prosperous living to our homeland”.

Today’s event had brought tuneful musical performance to Douliou city as many well-known musicians such as LIN,DE-PEI, LI PEI-YI, HU ZHI-QI, ZHEN YAN-XUN, and GUO PEI-RONG were invited. Students from musical class of Yunlin Junior High School were also asked to perform in the ceremony.
