“Streets, bridges, and roads will be closed to adore Yunlin, to see its culture, to amuse you with its culture, to create culture, and finally to have fun with the culture!” This is the event slogan of "A Date with Your Mother along the river in the Bike-riding party on May 5.” Yunlin County Government is going to hold a bike-riding event in the beginning of May. During the warn-up event on April 9, Magistrate Su Zhi-Fen invited all residents to joint the party; now available for sign up until the 21th.
The County Government is going to hold the event on May 5th to demonstrate the vitality of people in Yunlin County and its culture so as to encourage the development in the county. Beside the main event, tree planting along the Zhuoshui River is also on the schedule to call out to the people together to protect the health of the river. Including Legislator Li Ying-Yuan, County Councilors Liao Qui-Ping and Wang Tie-Dao, Siluo Township Mayor Xiao Ze-Wu, Cycling Lifestyle Foundation Executive Director Liu Li-Zhu, ROC Yunlin County Association Secretary-General Cai Qing-Hui, and heads of each department in the county government had jointed todays promotional activities.
Education Bureau Director Qui Xiao-Wen stressed that on that day, No. 78 East-West Expressway will be closed, and participants will be able to enjoy a country-beauty ride around the parameter of Yunlin County. 60 years old Siluo Bridge is also going to be closed for the event riders. Using the local ingredients, under the bridge, 10,000 meals will be rewarded to the participants. There are martial arts performances in memory of Qikan spirit, too. Finally, many other events such as farmers’ market, photo contest, and artistic creation and other activities will be in row.
