Since Yunlin County Government has a strong connection with Australian agriculture industry, Mr. Martin Walsh, the associate representative of Australia office in Taiwan visits Yunlin Agriculture Expo and some famous local companies, including SC Koi and some agriculture machinery companies. Ms Duli Chang, senior business manager and Ms Jennifer Chen, business manager, accompany Mr. Walsh in this visiting.
Mr. Walsh said by visiting agriculture expo, he wants to share the features of Yunlin back to Australia which allows Yunlin and Australia agriculture have deeper communication in between. This will make already-well-known Yunlin product even more famous. Also, Mr. Walsh wishes to bring the spirit of agriculture expo, sustainable and healthy agriculture, to more citizens in Taiwan, so that Taiwanese have deeper understanding to their motherland.
Mr. Walsh also emphasis that modern agriculture has changed from supplying enough food to provide nutrition and healthiness. For example, in Australia there was a new type of smoke sterilize designed for grains invented in 1997, it replaced tradition and environmental harmful chemical fertilizer which increased the value of the product and provide people healthier food. This kind of nature sterilize method echos the safe agriculture spirit of agriculture expo.
Mr. Walsh, said he gained a lot in this trip and agreed with what Yunlin County Government have done to develop safe agriculture. He promises hell share the Yunlin spirit the felt during the trip with his friends in Australia and help marketing Yunlin to the world.
