Climate changes as well as overfishing resulting shoal of fish went short in recent years. To be actively cultivated and conservation of inshore sea fishes, Yunlin county government has encourage all sectors of community to conduct fish fry releasing event ensuring sustainable development of fishery resources.
Agriculture department stated, since 1st of April 2011 Council of Agriculture, Executive Yuan had announced, “aquatic animal multiplication outfall restraints and the steps to follow.” Fisheries administration and several sectors of community have continuously conduct fish fry releasing 19 times, total amount of 3.8 millions fry were release.
County government attaches importance to safety and put in lots of attention on fry releasing process. Therefore, not only applying release of fingerling was strictly examined and verify, providing eligible drug test is also needed.
County government has recommend on restoration of fishery resources, at the same time sating that fishery conservation needs to start now and will takes time for effect to show. Efforts that county government put in with corporation from the locals together make fishery industry becoming sustainable management.
