Weather alert for severe temperature drop. The agricultural loss in Yunlin County is primarily coming from the aquatic products in the clam pool (milkfish of various size). The loss incurred at 50-60NTD per frostbitten fish, or 5% in converted value. The loss accumulated starts from thousand to tens of thousand NTD per farmer, or a few million in county total.
In addition, the rainfall continues in the Gukeng cliff mountain area in the afternoon. The County Sheriff Guard stands by on site now, reminding passengers and cars passing Yun Route 220 to watch closely for road conditions. The county will shut roads and patrol inclining cars to maintain safety, in the case of excessive snowing and/or icy roads.
