On the 9th lunar day of the first lunar month of Tiangong’s birthday, monkeys in Haiqing Palace were captured and surrendered

The Taiwanese macaques that harassed the Santiaolun Haiqing Palace in Sihu Township, Yunlin County recently were successfully captured by the Agricultural Department of Yunlin County Government in conjunction with the Epidemic Prevention Office and the temple staff on January 30, 2023, the first day of work in the Lunar New Year. This monkey has been running rampant for a long time. It was notified to appear around Haiqing Palace on October 18, 2022. During this period, Su Jinzhi, the chairman of Haiqing Palace, and Su Guolong, a member of Yunlin County, suggested and cared about the progress of the capture many times, so as to avoid human-monkey conflicts and cause people to be injured.
