What is Legionnaires Disease?

Legionnaires Disease is a very common yet severe type of pneumonia, the course of which develops from light coughing and low fever to rapidly progressive pneumonia and may eventually lead to coma. Early symptoms include indisposition, muscle pain and light headache. Advanced symptoms range from high fever (as high as 40oC), dry coughing, short breath to gastrointestinal symptoms including vomiting, diarrhea, nausea and stomachache.
